The International Photography Awards 2025
My photos are heading international again
This year I entered a few of my images into the International Photography Awards (IPA), and I was pleased to receive confirmation that several have made it through to Official Selection 2025.
It’s the second year in a row my work has been recognised in this way. In 2024, my entry Cassiopeia reached the official selection, and now in 2025 two more projects have joined the list.
Last year I submitted just one image, but this time I wanted to try something different. I entered three submissions, two of them as series to explore different themes and compositions and I’m pleased that both series were recognised.

Mooncake
Award: Honorable Mention

Cassiopeia
Award: Official Selection
A monochromatic still life composition that creates ambiguity and encourages the viewer to look a little more closely... (view entry)
The competition attracts thousands of submissions from around the world, so to have my images featured and included in the IPA Official Selection is something to be proud of. As a Sydney-based photographer, it’s especially rewarding to see local projects recognised on an international stage.
For me, competitions like this aren’t just about the awards. They’re a chance to experiment, challenge myself, and share my work with a global audience.
